The Move

We made the big trip to Dubai in 2019 to connect with all of our beautiful customers who live and visit there. This had been in the works for a while and we felt it was important to literarily “meet demand” in the United Arab Emirates. Maybe it was that Christmas cheer in the air but we felt a though we were sailing through friendly skies. 

 

Touchdown! 

We hit the city hard as soon as we touched down. We had to meet up with pre-scheduled clients at their locations. We listened to a playlist of contemporary Nigerian artistes on the ride out into town. Although we were pumped we realized that sometimes you need to get more juice. That’s how the ting go!  

 

 

 Work, Work, Work, Work, Work!

As usual, we had racked up a mountain of product orders, bookings (we love you all, we promise) and emails which made the feeling even more exhilarating. While we were away we managed to stay focused on processing product orders and bookings both from Lagos and international locations  At HairbyTMS, we get the words “work” and “fun” mixed up and can’t usually tell the difference. It’s the life we chose! 

 

Reading from the Book of Bookings

On the second day, we continued chipping away at the list of bookings. It was such a thrill-inducing feeling to be working for visibly happy clients. Don’t get it twisted, it was hard but rewarding work. 

 

One thing that put our skills to the test the most was the stream of clients of different races and their beautiful bundles of hair that required detailing and laser-sharp levels of attention. Each and every client felt that they got a unique, personalized service that enhanced their beauty and boosted their appeal. That was exactly the effect we wanted to produce.  

 

 

 

Sometimes it got manic but we managed to be on top of things. One of the ways that we managed to stay steamed off was by taking copious amounts of selfies- and of course some quick food on the go!  

 

 

After all the work was done, we hit a few places to chill, chow, and plan new challenges. Some of the most fun was taking long deep dips into some pools wearing our Locs extensions, which are of course water-friendly, so why not?
