“How The TMS Experience Changed My Life”

Growing your hair can be so much of a struggle especially when you have hair troubles as I do. ‘Alopecia’. Alopecia areata is my current hair defect which is a condition that causes hair to fall out in small patches, till it become severe.

Having Locs has always been my passion but due to my hair defect, it derived me from accomplishing that. I remember the day my story changed, it was a Friday and I was surfing on Instagram as usual trying to visualise the future of my dreadlocs when I stumbled on (@dreadsbytms) and I was blown away.

As it turns out, I could rock those amazing styles even with my condition with the help of a special procedure.
I called DREADSBYTMS office line via their bio and was told to book online for a consultation.

I booked a consultation appointment and came in  at the studio which is located at 34, Bashorun Okunsanya, Off Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1 after I closed from work as it was just a few minutes drive from my office.

After the consultation, I was more informed and convinced that I was doing this so I fixed an appointment for 1 PM the next day, Saturday.

On Saturday… 12 PM

I was all set to go, I had checked Google map and it was just about 45 minutes from Ogudu GRA to ‘Hair by TMS‘ and according to the map, there was lighter traffic than usual.

I got to by 12:40 PM as I looked forward to a turning point in my life. I was greeted at the reception by a polite lady who led me to a waiting area as I had arrived 20 minutes before my appointed time.

At exactly 1, I was ushered towards a bright new future.

As I sat down, for the next 2 hours, 45 minutes, magic happened all around me. I was trying so hard not to catch a glimpse in the mirror, but deep down I was bursting with excitement.

After it was done, I stood up to take in the new being I’m looking at in the mirror.

Omooo x2000

After checking myself out and taking pictures for about 30 minutes, I went ahead to pay for my hair. I was asked for my preferred payment option and I paid with POS.

At about 4:20… I was on my way back to Ogudu and the rest as they say was history.
